BAKERSFIELD, CA — Bakersfield police officers were called to Rosedale Highway and Coffee Road to break up a confrontation between Trump supporters and Black Lives Matter protesters.
A department spokesperson said officers were called to keep the two groups apart, making sure tensions didn’t escalate further.
It wasn’t clear what prompted the confrontation, but video from the incident shows two people throwing punches at one another and a man in a black T-shirt upending a table as he walked away.
Police said no injuries were reported and they are looking for a man involved for misdemeanor battery.
Police described the man as being 6 feet tall, weighing 350 pounds and had a beard.
He was wearing a black T-shirt and blue jeans.
No arrests were made and no injuries were reported in the incident.
