INDIA – A speeding car fell off Hyderabad’s new biodiversity flyover yesterday, killing a woman below waiting for the bus.
CCTV footage of the incident captures the speeding car crashing down from the overpass, injuring six pedestrians below, and killing a woman waiting for the bus with her daughter.
The car’s airbags opened on impact helping save the driver’s life, identified only as Milan.
Milan, who was driving at 104 mph, way above the allowed limit of 40 mph, was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition.
As for the victim, she has been identified as 40-year-old Sathyaveni, and was accompanied by her daughter Praneetha before getting crushed to death by the falling car.
This is the 2nd accident on the flyover since its inauguration this month on November 4. Two people were killed in the first week when their bikes were hit by another speeding car.
