MALAYSIA – A 35-year-old man was spotted trying to kill his dog by hanging it from a mango tree by a roadside in Banting, Petaling Jaya.
However, his cruel act caught the attention of a passerby who ordered him to release the dog.
The dog was seen trying to wriggle itself out from a noose around its neck.
“Who are you?” the culprit asked the man.
“Are you from the government? I raised this dog myself, and I will do whatever I want with it. I will kill it if I want to,” he added.
“Even if you are from the government, I don’t care. I am not scared.”
When the man insisted that he release the dog, the man loosened the rope and the dog fell to the ground, gasping for breath.
The Department of Veterinary Services confirmed they seized the dog and a rope in a report last Wednesday.
The suspect has been detained and charges will be held against him as the investigation unfolds, Malaysian reports said.
