LA deputy shot in jaw in Compton, managed to radio in for help and apply tourniquet on partner

One of the two deputies shot on Saturday in Compton managed to radio for help, and apply a tourniquet on her partner, according to online reports.

The two cops — a 31-year-old mother and a 24-year-old man — were shot at close range at around 7pm Saturday in Compton. The two were critically injured when a gunman walked up and opened fire before fleeing the scene.

The search for the shooter is ongoing as of Monday morning. There is a $100,000 reward for information leading to his arrest.
