Kentucky man shot dead during argument over gas pump at a Kroger gas station in Louisville

LOUISVILLE, Kentucky — A man was shot dead Sunday afternoon during an argument over a gas pump at the Kroger on South 28th Street and West Broadway, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

LMPD officers responded to the scene at around 3:30pm and found a man who had been shot in the parking lot.

Footage obtained shows two men in an argument, before you hear three gunshots at the Kroger gas station.

The man was taken to University Hospital where he died from his injuries, police said.

Carl Hardin III, 21, turned himself in Tuesday in connection to the death of Dayshawn Tolbert, 37, according to the Louisville Metro Police Department.

Hardin was booked into Louisville Metro Department of Corrections and charged with murder and five counts of wanton endangerment.
