PHILADELPHIA – An employee shot and killed a robber inside a Metro PCS store in Southwest Philadelphia.
Police said a man in his late 30s armed with a handgun tried to rob the local cell phone store Monday afternoon
CCTV footage of the incident shows the suspect walking inside, flashing a weapon and throwing a bag at the employee.
The employee, who authorities say has a permit to carry, quickly pulled out his own gun and opened fire, shooting the suspect multiple times.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene.
As for the employee, after reviewing footage of the incident, Philadelphia Police has ruled the homicide justified as self-defense.
